Mount Pleasant may be the perfect place to call home! It’s where I rest my head each night. The reason I truly love it here is because it is such a well balanced diverse community.
Within the area you have a multitude of choices. You want coffee? Try 49th Parallel,
JJ Bean, Kafkas, Our Town, Waves , Bean Around The World or if you prefer Tim Hortons and Starbucks … they are nearby too. If you prefer tea leaves to coffee beans then Shaktea will rock your taste buds.
Interested in great food? …. on a budget? Have no fear because the Foundation, Nice Café and Noodlebox are near. Other great options are Nuba, The Acorn, Charlies, Invitro, Peaceful Restaurant, Wallflower or The Cascade Room. Mount Pleasant is a foodie’s paradise! If you’re interested in cooking for yourself at home then not only are there a variety of local fruit shops and large grocery stores, but the Farmers Market is in the hood! Don’t forget to stop by Northwest Culinary Academy for tips!
After dinner you may feel like socializing with friends over a beer and that shouldn’t be a problem because Mount Pleasant is home to several micro breweries including R&B Brewing, 33 acres, Brassneck, Main Street Beer, Steel Toad, and Red Truck Beer. Yup, it’s true, Mount Pleasant is a beer lovers haven. (Did I mention they even sell it at the farmers market?)
Well, if after all that wining and dining you feel the need to burn a few calories, you’ll find the Mount Pleasant Community Centre nearby or Origins Parkour can teach you some James Bond moves. There are also many places to get your yoga on.
If I am succeeding on selling you on this great neighbourhood, then perhaps I can sell you into this great neighbourhood. There are an abundance of new and newer developments to choose from including VYA, Midtown, Citti, The IndependentCanvas, District, Social, Uno, Jacobson, Uptown, and more. There is also a wide variety of live/work spaces in the community.
You can then join the Residents association and collaborate about how in this neighbourhood it really is possible to have it all!
